The Hunter's Moon of October 2024 will be the largest full moon of the year thanks to its proximity to Earth. For skygazers interested in seeing this rare sight, you should train your eyes on the western horizon between 6:45 p.m. and 8 p.m.

To get the best view of the comet, go outside about an hour after sunset and look west. The comet should be visible from the northern and southern hemispheres. While you can see the comet with the naked eye, binoculars and telescopes will give you a better view of it.

Comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS) is the brightest comet in 13 years, visible to the naked eye. Since Oct. 11, observers in the Northern Hemisphere have reported seeing it without a telescope.
