We expect morning fog and mostly sunny skies with temperatures warming into the upper 70s to near 80 degrees on Monday just ahead of a cold front. A milder airmass behind the front brings highs down into the lower 70s this week in the Triad and Foothills with chilly 40s for morning lows expected through the middle of the week.

Hurricane Milton forms in the Gulf of Mexico heading straight towards Florida
Hurricane Milton has maximum sustained winds of 80 mph and is moving towards the east at 6 mph. Milton is 815 miles to the west of Tampa, Florida, in the western Gulf of Mexico, and is expected to continue toward the east strengthening into a Category 2 hurricane, with winds of 100 mph by Monday morning.
