The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) is set to honor the Ajinkya Rahane-led Mumbai team for their victory in the recently concluded Irani Cup 2024. This historic win makes it Mumbai's first Irani Cup title in 27 years and their 15th overall.

The Mumbai Cricket Association will felicitate the Ajinkya Rahane-led side in a ceremony after it clinched its first Irani Cup in 27 years.

Mumbai’s last Irani Cup victory came during the 1997-98 season and since then, the domestic powerhouse appeared in eight more finals without success, the last of which was in the 2015-16 season.

While the RoI side has clinched the title 30 times across 62 previous appearances, Mumbai remain the most successful Ranji Trophy team to earn the prestigious title.
